Barbara Ween
A lifetime passion for songs and singing began on drives with her Dad. He started with "Ole' Man River", and she, her Mom and her five siblings sang the entire trip. Barbara’s first professional gig was in Tennessee at 14 years and she’s been singing publicly ever since. Ella Fitzgerald, Julie London, Ray Charles, Broadway musicals, Appalacian music, Blue grass, Jazz, Soul,R&B, and the Opera “Carmen” were her early influences. She’s sung for two governor’s inaugurations in Tennessee, opened for Dionne Warwick, Mimi Farina, Hubert Laws, the Persuasions, and Bill Shontz to name a few. She was a member of "Real Tears", the "Barbara Ween Quartet", "Goin’ Down Swingin" and "Cafe Society" playing music for numerous events and clubs from Boston to the Pioneer Valley and beyond. She currently works with Cafe Society members, the Valley Diva's, Zack Danziger, and Bill Shontz.
Zack Dansiger is nothing short of an amazing guitar player. He has been
a studio musician song writer, Junior High School Band Director, arranger,
vocalist, soloist. You name it, He’s done it.
“Reminiscent of Lambert Hendricks and Ross, these fine musicians take it to a new level.
Stunning 3 part harmonies, Liberal improvised “scat solos”, lots of instrumentals and
Variety of styles. It is lighthearted fun with a WOW for musicianship”
